At a tender age of 13 years of age, Humtoo was already a professional Flautist – he’s the sixth generation musician in his family. Aptly trained by his Grandfather Late Aloke Nath Dey (a renowned Flautist and music director) and Pandit Ajay Chakravorty, Humtoo has been a veteran musician in the industry today.
Humtoo’s performed with the likes of Uzstad Amjad Ali Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Adnan Sami, Shreya Ghosal, Richa Sharma, Manna Dey, Mohit Chauhan, Arijit Singh, and Sukhwinder Singh.
He’s also been a part of various directorial ventures by Vishal Bharadwaj, Rituparno Ghosh, Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ram Gopal Verma, Anurag Basu to name just a few.
It all began with playing the Mandolin. And like in the good old days, performing at the AIR studios then as a child artist. The world of entertainment has changed since. But for Rishi, the love for music and performance has only grown. Today with several chart toppers under his belt and many upcoming big banner releases, Rishi Chanda is a leading music composer in Bengali Films like Khoka 420, Kanamachi, Megh Roddur, Khokababu, Shedin Dekha Hoichhilo, Dui Prithibi, Josh, U-Turn & Kranti.
Abhik is one half of upcoming Bollywood composer duo
Shadaab - Abhik. Apart from being a short film maker (known for 'Girl in Bombay, That'), he has composed and scored for numerous Jingles, TV, Albums, Singles & Short Films. After debuting in Bollywood a couple of years back with "PalangTod" from Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal, (Best Feature Film 2013, Mexico International Film Festival) and releasing hit single "I Wish Tere Jaisa Dost", as a composer; Abhik is set to follow the dreams, his heart yearns for.
